Below is a selection of good quality sparkling wine from different regions. All have been selected for their great quality. Champagne has always been comparatively expensive and it has increased so much this year we find it difficult to justify it on a quality to price ratio. Our Champagne method vintage Cavas and Cremant de Limoux are delicious wines at less than half the price of their equivalent Champagnes. If you want premium image then Ca del Bosco Franciacorta is a great choice, in my opinion better than all the popular branded Champagnes and far more exclusive of course.
This Blanquette de Limoux Brut from Domaine Mayrac is superb and has become our biggest selling sparkling wine. Sulphite free and organically certified, this is a delicious dry sparkling wine.

Pinot Noir, hand harvested from a low yielding single vineyard. Boplaas only produce this wine in exceptional years.
It’s made via the tank method rather than fermented in bottle, and the juice is left on the lees in tank for six months before racking off and bottling to add complexity.
Pale salmon in colour. Red berry flavours on entry with a fine persistent mousse, gentle acidity, finishing bone dry. It’s delicious in the drier style as opposed to our Rose Cava from Dominio de la Vega which is sweeter on entry with a little more residual sugar. If you like your sparkling wines dry this is the Rose for you.

A new biodynamic sparkling wine for us, from England!
This Laverstoke Farm 2015 Brut was made in the traditional Champagne method, with extensive lees ageing for four years. It is also made from the traditional Champagne grapes of course, in this case dominated by Pinot Noir which is how I personally prefer my vintage Champagnes.
It is excellent, easily as good as any vintage Champagne at this price point, Really fine mousse, big biscuity flavours, toasty with a long finish.
It’s also very natural being biodymically certified by Demeter, with the benefit of organic and biodynamic farming. As it’s a sparkling wine the naturally produced CO2 acts an antioxidant so it is very low sulphite too.
I strongly urge you to give ait a try and support our domestic wine industry!
