Wye’s Owl is an amazing new brand of English no added sulphite wines, hand produced in tiny numbers.
Martin has achieved something remarkable as these wines are fermented to full dryness yet only hit around 10% abv. The result is dry sulphite free white wine in a style I have not found anywhere else.
Pale gold with a fruity nose, showing good fruit on the palate. Round in the mouth with floral tones finishing nice and dry. This is excellent!
Only 361 bottles produced – so get some while you can!

Wye’s Owl Sunbeam is made from 100% Solaris grapes, a hybrid variety which ripens early in the season, at the height of summer, under powerful sunbeams. These grapes were pressed and fermented using natural yeast in stainless steel to retain their fresh fruit and floral aromas. Fragrant peach throughout, light bodied with pleasant mouthfeel. A unique, natural take on a floral-focused white wine. Sunbeam is unfiltered with no added sulphites to allow the unique flavours of Solaris to shine through and provide a taste distinct to this vintage.
