Ripasso della Valpolicella Classico Superiore Campagnola

I love Ripasso wines. They are made by re-fermenting the grapes on the skins of the Amarone grapes which imparts extra colour, flavour and alcohol. Ripassa Zenato has long been a firm favourite here, and a very big seller for us, so we were delighted to discover this wine from Guiseppe Campagnola which is equally delicious but in a slightly lighter style.

The grapes were hand harvested from selected vineyards in the premier Classico region. The wine is soft and smooth with raisin flavours and a long finish. Ideal accompaniment to red meats or game.
