A superb single vineyard Syrah aged for 24 months in oak, only produced in exceptional years. Delicious! Big black cherry flavours with vanilla and a hint of white pepper. Perfectly balanced wine with good natural acidity. Superb. We have just received the 2011.

Mayrac's notes say:
"The very low production of grapes with an important leaf surface assure the quality of exceptional maturation regarding this old vineyard of Syrah. This wine will be aged in oak barrel during 24 months. Deep nose of black currant and liquorice liqueurs as well as a very dense mouth with an exceptional concentration characterize this cuvée. The ageing qualities for such a wine may be as long as 15 years.."
