La Selva Organic Ciliegiolo

Now we're getting into some seriously good Italian reds. Ciliegiolo is a local grape with strong cherry flavours. This wine was aged in French oak barriqies for 8 months then aged for a further 6 months in bottle prior to release.

Plenty of ripe fruit (cherry unsurprisingly) and a little spice followed by strong vanilla. Very smooth with great balance, thoroughly delicious. Have this with anything from pasta to game or roast meats. And remember this is a genuine organic wine extremely low in sulphites so is not only delicious but also actively good for you!
