Tombacco Aglianico del Beneventano IGT
A big, powerful wine well suited to food.
We are on the new presentation, not the blue label any more, but the wine is the same.
Tombacco is a long established family business in Veneto producing their own good value wines and blending and bottling other peoples wines in much the same way as the "negociants" of France do. They also source a few wines from other areas of Italy such as this great Aglianico from Campania.
Big, rich, warming and smooth. Plenty of fruit flavours with some spice on the long finish. This is fantastic value. Presented in a big heavyweight bottle too.
Please note presentation has changed from the image here, but as yet we are unable to get an updated photo.
