Rose Wines Introduction
Important information if you are sensitive to Sulphites
Most Rose wines contain comparatively high levels of sulphites. For this reason, we don't list much Rose wine as it's difficult to find ones with low sulphite content. So we have only a small selection of sulphite free, organic and low sulphite roses available.
- Domaine D'Anglas Bordee les Muriers Rose
Bordee par les Muriers means "bordered by mullberries". This wine comes from a 2 hectare plot of scrub lightly planted with vines.
The wine was aged in barrel for three months adding body and a full mouthfeel. Let it breathe for ten minutes to soften. It's quite complex with some red fruit flavours and a slightly nutty finish, and the oak is noticeable. It's a gourmet wine best paired with soft cheese and charcuterie.
If you want a more straight forward, lighter rose opt for their Farigoulette instead.

£14.95 - Santa Margherita Chiaretto DOC Stilrose
James Suckling 90 Points
Santa Margherita Chiaretto Stilrose is a superb rose for the discerning wine drinker. Pale salmon pink in colour, full and round in the mouth with complex concentrated flavours. Gentle acidity cleanses the palate on the long finish. This wine is the Italian equivalent to good Cotes de Provence, although this is comparatively low in sulphites too (which is very difficult to find in France). This is the Italian "Whispering Angel".

£13.99Out of stock - Tampesta Golan Rosado D.O Tierra de Leon
The Tampesta Golan Rose differs from their standard Rose as it is 100% Prieto Picudo (as opposed to having some Tempranillo) and is has been aged on the lees and in wood for a few months to give a fuller body and more complexity. It is lovely!

£12.50Out of stock - Costes Cirgues Pont du Jour Rose sulphite free wine
Very popular. Sells out very quickly for us, being our most complex sulphite free Rose.
It is a natural wine, so not like mainstream Rose. It contains sediment. Flavours are soft and delicate with a slight nutty finish. If you are looking for mainstrean style we suggest you opt for the Cairanne Cotes du Rhone Rose instead.
