Moncaro Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC
Moncaro Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC is a good value, very tasty Montepulciano from Moncaro, one of Italy's best cooperative producers. Being based in Le Marche Montepulciano is their forte.
Moncaro Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC
Vinification: The Montepulciano grapes are hand harvested when ripe and fermented at controlled temperatures of 25-18C and maceration on the skins for one week. A portion of the wine is matured in oak for 3 months and the remainder in tank before bottling.
Moncaro's note state:
"Fiercely intense black cherry and violet aromas with spicy notes to highlight elegant oak. Plump, juicy and savoury cherry notes. Wonderfully round with tannins in contrast to the heat of the alcohol resulting in the perfect balance and an elegant finish."
