Low Sulphite Wine
Here we are lisitng some genuine artisan wines made properly with minimal use of additives, which don't fall within our categories of "organic, biodynamic or sulphite free". They are handmade on a very small scale by small family wineries combining traditional techniques with modern advancements.
Many of them farm organically or biodynamically although don't believe in having to pay annual fees to be certified as such. They don't see any reason why they should be charged extra for making wines as they've always been made.
These wines are very low in sulphites and any of the other 80+ chemicals commonly found in big brand factory produced wines. Many are fermented with the grapes' own natural yeast, and many have only a light filtering, some have none at all so all the goodness and natural anti oxidants are left in the wine.
They are a very healthy lifestyle choice, and of course when buying these wines you will also be helping small dedicated winemakers, as without customers they would not be able to continue making these fantastic wines..

Maquis is uniquely situated at the convergence of two rivers on clay, alluvial soils making it potentially the best site in Chile for Cabernet Frank which inspired them to make this stunning wine.
It's big and silky with red and black fruits with a light spice, then big vanilla coming through on the long finish.
This is something special.
