Due to a technical issue with our organic licensing body for importing organic wines from outside the EU, we have had to have our latest shipment of Frey wines declassified from organic to non organic to clear Customs and meet EU regulations. We had to do this to avoid them being stuck in port for weeks while we sorted out this mess. Hence we are not permitted to market them as organic or even to describe them as organic. We will also be making changes to the physical labels on the bottles to remove the word organic. We apologise for any disruption this may cause and for defacing the labels on these superb wines.
This is another great wine from Jonathan. Like all his wines it is soft and smooth and harmonises with the body. It's very difficult to pick a favourite from the Frey reds, they're all really good. I suggest you buy one of each to see which you prefer!
Frey's website states:
"Zinfandel has been planted in Mendocino County, California, since the 1800s; the benchland soils and dry Mediterranean climate produce plentiful, hearty grapes. Our Zinfandel has bramble berry aromas, and is fruit-forward with a spicy finish. Pair with cheese manicotti or Moroccan lamb and dolmas."
