Domaine D'Anglas Esprit de la Garrigues sulphite free wine
Esprit de la Garrigues is a big, powerful wine which benefits from decanting. Handpicked grapes from a 2 hectare vineyard from vines between 15-25 years old. Consisting of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, fermented in stainless steel then aged in a combination of stainless steel and oak.
A great wine in it's own right, being sulphite free is a bonus! We have just received the 2019 into stock.
We're getting into seriously good wines now. From a tiny 2 hectare vineyard, this wine consists of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache. All work is done manually including hand picking and destalking. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in wooden vats. Roger recommends opening this wine 12 hours before consuming for best results. That's pretty unrealistic here in the UK but I'd recommend decanting or pouring into a jug to aerate it and leaving it for as long as you comfortably can because it does change significantly as it aerates. Great with red meats like lamb or game such as duck.
