'An Amarone of immense character and depth' from Guiseppe Campagnola in Verona, named after his late grandmother. It has won many awards and is a beautiful wine. If you're an Amarone lover I can't recommend this wine strongly enough.

Grape Varieties : Corvina | Rondinella

Vinification: The grapes are hand selected from 36 hectare hillside vineyards in Marano di Valpolicella Valley. The Corvina (70%) and Rondinella (30%) grapes undergo rigorous selection at the end of September when the grapes have maximum sugar content. Traditionally the grapes are then dried in plastic containers for 90 to 100 days. In around December/January the grapes are macerated for 30 days on the skins. After fermentation, the wine is refined for 18 months in new French Allier oak barriques with a further 6 months in bottle.
