Morton Estates the Mercure is a delicious, easy drinking Bordeaux blend from one of New Zealand's best producers. It's fruit driven with soft tannins allowing it to be opened and consumed immediately. Well suited to all foods from white meats to red meat casseroles. Nothing big and complex - you don't have to be a Master of Wine to appreciate it - but just lovely as an every day wine. One of my favourites.
