Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. By law you must be 18 years old or older to use this site. If you are not at least 18 do not attempt to make a purchase. At present we only supply to customers within the UK. We accept Visa , Mastercard, Switch and Delta. Availability We deal with a large number of shippers and importers and have access to thousands of different wines. If you're after a specific wine which isn't on our list please enquire about price and availability via email and we'll see if we can source it for you. |

Shipping And Handling We have recently revised our delivery charges to offer better value for money. Delivery is now FREE on orders over £250 to majority of mainland UK. Please read the list below for exceptions in Scotland, Ireland and Isle of Wight. Delivery for orders up to £249.99 are charged at £8.99 (£7.49 plus VAT). Delivery on local orders (Conwy & Anglesey) over £50 are also FREE. Deliveries to the Highlands are now FREE on orders over £300. Next working day delivery is made via the APC Courier network Monday to Friday. To allow sufficient time to pick, check and despatch orders, all orders received before 2.30pm will be delivered next day. Orders received after 2.30pm may still be delivered the next day if we have sufficient time to pick, check and despatch them. Otherwise they will be delivered the following day. This is charged at £8.99 for the majority of the mainland UK, to be transported through their fragile handling system, but for this fixed fee you can order as many bottles as you like to bring the net cost down (FREE on orders over £250 of course). We aim to maintain this timescale as a general guide, but cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control. The APC Network have recently reduced their charges for Saturday delivery which is now £30 (£25 plus VAT).A signature from an adult, aged 18 or over, is required by the Courier on delivery. If there is nobody in when the courier arrives they will leave a card for you to contact them to arrange redelivery. If they haven't been contacted within three days they will return the goods to us. We can then arrange for redelivery but this will incur an additional delivery charge. There is the option to have your wine left unsigned for, in the shed or porch for example, but please note this is at the customer's own risk and we only recommend you do this if you are sure it will be safe - we cannot be held responsible for items going missing under these circumstances. Although we have only had 2 instances of missing items in 3 years, we recommend having your wine left with a neighbour where it can be signed for if you will not be there to accept it yourself.Scotland councils of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Argyll & Bute, Clackmannanshire, Dundee City, East Renfrewshire, Falkirk, Fife, Highland, Inverclyde, Moray, Perth & Kinross, Renfrewshire and Stirling are charged at £14.95 plus VAT.For Northern Ireland & Isle of Wight deliveries, the weight of the items affect the courier charge significantly so we have had to introduce a sliding scale. Upto 12 bottles is charged at £22 plus vat, upto 24 bottles is £35 plus vat, upto 36 bottles is £47 plus vat, upto 48 bottles is £60 plus vat - this is what the couriers charge us which we have to pass on. For this your wine should be delivered before 4pm the following day as with our system for UK mainland. We regret we're unable to deliver to the Scottish Islands or the Isle of Man.Deliveries within Conwy County and the Isle of Anglesey are free of charge for orders over £50 including vat, and will be made on our own fleet of vehicles. Note on specific delivery times. As we use the APC Network we have no direct control of delivery times. Asking for delivery before 9am or after 5pm for example is simply not viable as the couriers will not be able to accomodate it. The APC Network transport several million items per day, and they have to operate in a certain way. All goods are transported to a centrl hub overnight from where they are sent to regional depots in the early hours. The goods are then split onto individual vehicles and routes planned dependant on that day's deliveries. It may be that your address is at the beginning of the route, or at the end of the route but the couriers simply cannot change their route to accomodate somebody wanting their delivery at a specific time of day. If you suspect that you are not going to be in when the courier calls, please organise when placing your order to leave your delivery with a neighbour or in a safe place such as the porch or shed.We do our best, as do the couriers, to provide a good reliable delivery service, but it simply isn't possible to accomodate specific times of day. |

Delivery Schedule Delivery to Ireland (Southern) is now available through DHL for £30 for any quantity up to 24 bottles, taking 2 to 3 days. As Ireland doesn't use a postcode system but our software requires one, please just put any digit (number or letter) in the postcode field and your order should be accepted by the system. |
|
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. |
|
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK 20% VAT is added. All our prices are quoted as Duty Paid. You may find some merchants quoting cheaper prices as their wines are In Bond and UK excise duty has still to be added. |
| Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. They are not held in clear text on any web site. We use Protx to process all transactions and your credit card details are not recorded or stored anywhere on our systems or premises. |

Returns Policy We offer a full refund to all customers if goods turn out to be faulty or different from those ordered. Please check the condition of the goods on delivery and record any breakages on the courier's delivery note. We cannot offer a refund if you simply don't like the wine, only if it is faulty. If there is a problem please contact us via email, stating the nature of the problem and quoting your order number and personal details. Then please return the items to the address below. Any faulty wines must be reported and returned within one calendar month of the date of sale to be evaluated for refund correctly.
