Sanz Classico DO Rueda 2006 75cl

13% abv. A blend of Verdejo and Viura grapes grown in the upper reaches of the Douro Valley. This is a floral, crisp wine with delicious flavours and a dry finish. We polished off several bottles recently at an excellent Spanish restaurant in London. It went superbly with our mussels, octopus and even our jamons! Delicious.

Finca la Colina DO Rueda 2006/7 75cl

13% abv. This is an estate grown and bottled wine from Vinos Sanz, made from the Verdejo grape. The same producers who make the Sanz Classico above. It's excellent quality and in my opinion is one of Spain's best white wines. It has a very prominent nose, very similar to Sauvignon Blanc. It has Sauvignon like fruit and flavours too, with nicely balanced acidity and really good length. It's a delicious wine for sipping on a warm summer's day, or equally at home accompanying food. Picture it as a really good Sauvignon and you won't go far wrong.
