Alex Moscatel 2006 Navarra 50cl
A delicious dessert wine. Rich and full with flavours of honey.

It's produced from the premium Moscatel de Grano Menudo grape, known in France as Muscat de Frontignan and in Italy as Moscato D'Asti. Not to be mistaken for the cheaper Muscat di Alexandria which is usually found in lower quality Spanish dessert wines. This is good stuff!

What a fantastic wine. This is one of the most beautiful dessert wines I have ever tasted. Late harvested grapes from 30 year old vines are dried for 10 weeks prior to fermentation, then refined for 12 months in barriques and aged in bottle for a further 12 months. Truly beautiful wine with fantastic length.

Susana Balbo Malbec Dessert Wine 2009 50cl
Argentine Wine Awards Silver Medal for the 2008

Susana Balbo Virtuoso Malbec Dessert Wine was the former name of this wine. For some reason the "Virtuoso" name has gone, and the label is different but it's exactly the same wine. I presume, without speaking to Dominio del Plata, that the same wine originally had two different labels for different export markets, and the Virtuoso label stock has all gone so the UK is now getting the standard label. Either way the wine itself is fantastic.

This is something a little different. It's a delicious sweet red, in the style of a Reccioto della Valpolicella, one of my favourite dessert wines. While there's plenty of sweet fruit, it's not as heavy or cloying as a traditional Sauternes, just light and delicious, particularly good with chocolate desserts and I would imagine perfect with Black Forrest gateau. Jancis Robinson describes it as 'heavily baked apple juice, dark and tawny. Great stuff'.

Aresti Estate Late Harvest Gewurztraminer 2010 Dessert Wine 375ml
A fantastic dessert wine from Aresti. 85% Gewurztraminer and 15% Reisling. Deep golden colour. Beautiful flavours with the grapes' natural acidity and sweetness blending to produce a luscious full flavoured wine with great length. It's not as heavy or viscous as many dessert wines which leaves a fresh finish so you can go back for more. Great stuff.
